Job Description

Houseal Lavigne Associates is seeking a career minded planning professional for a full time position as a Senior Associate. This position will be highly visible, working directly with clients and responsible for firm projects. Our ideal candidate will have experience in authoring a range of planning and zoning projects such as comprehensive plans, downtown plans, corridor studies, neighborhood plans, zoning ordinances, and other related studies. Must be comfortable with, and have experience in, conducting community outreach exercises.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of planning and zoning assignments, and a strong understanding and experience with zoning and/or comprhensive planning is essential.

Languages needed: English.

The successful candidate will

  • Handle Project management on a range of zoning and planning assignments – including the management of the project budgets, staff, expenses, and deliverables;
  • Make presentations and conducting workshops and meetings with clients;
  • Provide development review and zoning assistance to clients;
  • Prepare proposals and statements of qualifications;
  • Prepare and oversee the production of text and graphic materials; and,
  • Direct, manage, and mentor junior staff.
