Arterra’s thriving Sydney practice has a fantastic opportunity for a creative, passionate Landscape Architect with a broad range of Australian project experience to join our friendly, well-established office, conveniently located at Epping in Sydney’s north.

Established since 1995, Arterra is a multi-award winning practice with a reputation for practical and creative design solutions across a wide variety of greenfield residential, commercial, public domain, education and aged care projects. Our clients represent a broad cross section of service providers in aged care, independent schools, major local councils throughout greater Sydney and key stakeholders in retail and residential development.

The successful candidate will

  • Be confident working independently or as part of a small team responsible for the design, documentation and delivery of a wide variety of projects.
  • Be looking for the opportunity to grow your role and responsibilities, taking the lead on significant projects, mentoring team members and managing clients and contractors from initial consultations through the delivery of projects.

Required education and skills

  • AILA recognized qualification in Landscape Architecture.
  • 7 or more years recent Australian project experience.
  • Solid understanding of Australian Design Standards.
  • Experience delivering projects from Concept Design to Completion of Construction within Australia.
  • Strong hand-drawn and digital graphic expertise essential.
  • A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Broad knowledge of plants appropriate for the eastern seaboard of Australia.
  • Solid skills in CAD, Adobe CS (PhotoShop, InDesign) and MS Office are essential.
  • Ability to work and co-ordinate within a team to achieve project deadlines.
  • A desire to develop your skills and continue to grow as a professional designer.
  • Must have at least 7 years recent experience working in Australia in a similar role, together with current and ongoing legal right to live and work in Australia.
